There are 6 categories of plastic molds, do you know all of them

Plastic molds are tools that are matched with plastic molding machines in the plastic processing industry to give plastic products a complete configuration and precise dimensions. According to the different molding methods, it can be divided into different types of molds.

1. Injection Mold

It is mainly a molding mold that is most commonly used in the production of thermoplastic parts. The corresponding processing equipment of the injection mold is an injection molding machine. The plastic is first heated and melted in the heating cylinder at the bottom of the injection molding machine, and then melted in the screw or column of the injection molding machine. Driven by the plug, it enters the mold cavity through the nozzle of the injection molding machine and the pouring system of the mold, the plastic is cooled and hardened to form, and the product is demolded.

2. Blow Mold

A mold used to form plastic container hollow products (such as beverage bottles, daily chemical products, etc.) The principle mainly includes extrusion blow molding hollow molding, injection blow molding hollow molding, injection stretch blow molding hollow molding (commonly known as injection stretch blow), multilayer blow molding hollow molding, sheet blow molding hollow molding and so on.

3. Extrusion die

A type of mold used to mold and produce continuous-shaped plastic products, also called extrusion molding heads, is widely used in the processing of pipes, rods, monofilaments, plates, films, wire and cable coatings, profiled materials, etc.

4. Blister mold

A mold that uses plastic plates and sheets as raw materials to form some simpler plastic products. The principle is to use a vacuum or compressed air molding method to make the plastic plates and sheets fixed on the concave or convex mold be heated. Under the condition of softening, it is deformed and attached to the cavity of the mold to obtain the desired molded product, which is mainly used in the production of some daily necessities, food, and toy packaging products.

5. Compression Mold

It includes two structural mold types: compression molding and injection molding. They are a type of molds mainly used to form thermosetting plastics, and their corresponding equipment is a pressure forming machine.

6. High-expanded polystyrene molding die

It is a mold for using expandable polystyrene (beads composed of polystyrene and foaming agent) raw materials to form various desired shapes of foam packaging materials.

Plastic mold design must be grasped when it must be grasped

  1. The focus during design (1) The inlet of the inlet should be opened in the thick part of the product to ensure the smooth and complete charging model; (2) Try to open as much as possible at the edge or bottom; (3) The cold material cave near the pouring mouth is often set up to facilitate the lane -of -the -way release; (4) Large or flat products, it is recommended to use multi -point pouring, which can prevent the product’s warning and lack of materials; (5) The position of its position should be selected to the shortest point of the plastic charging process to reduce the pressure loss, which is conducive to mold exhaust; (6) Avoid opening the mouth near the slender core, so as not to directly impact the core core, generate deformation or bending; (7) The size of the mouth is determined by the size of the product, the geometric shape, the structure and the type of plastic. (8) You can determine the product’s combination line that produces due to the location of the mouth through

The design idea and process of a set of practical injection molds

A reliable plastic mold design is mainly reflected in the quality (appearance quality and size stability) of the forming plastic products. It is convenient, fast, and concise when processing and manufacturing. Safe, stability, easy maintenance, short molding cycle, long life life, and reasonable mold manufacturing process in injection molding. 01. The main process of factory mold design Customers provide product map → analyze product → confirm plastic varieties → confirm mold material → transfer engineering chart → multiplier as a mirror phase → improve the formation map → make models → make models → unplugged → 3D division → determine the runner road /Putting the mouth method → refer to the rank diagram for structural design → disassembling mosaic → correction 3D → engineering drawing (mold/inlaid parts/mold/loose parts) → do BOM table → school pairing review. 02. Several aspects that should be paid attention to 1) When we start the mold design, we should pay more attention to severa

China’s mold capital-Huangyan industrial cluster becomes a provincial pilot

Huangyan mold  industry is mainly based on the manufacture of  injection molds , including extrusion, blow molding, die-casting, and stamping molds. It has formed an industrial ecological chain system with the most complete functions, the highest degree of specialization, and the most complete supporting system at the county level in the country. . In 2009, Huangyan Mould Industry was in c luded in the “Zhejiang First Batch of 21 Demonstration Zones for the Transformation and Upgrading of Mass Economy to Modern Industrial Clusters”, and has more than 10 national and provincial honorary titles including the “First Demonstration Zone for Quality Improvement of Mold Products in the Country”. , In 2016, Huangyan District “Demonstration Zone for Intelligent Manufacturing of Moulds” was selected as the first batch of pilot demonstration zones for intelligent manufacturing in Zhejiang Province. The overall goal of the new intelligent manufacturing pilot of the Huangyan smart mold industry clu
